meet the artist
Cherry DV Agoyaoy, from Magsingal, Ilocos Sur and currently residing in Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines, is a consummate Filipina creative whose "artvocacy" is using fused plastic as an upcycled medium for her artworks. She has color blindness but creates colorful pieces using watercolors and acrylics.
She has completed the 1st Online Mentoring Program of Art Show Philippines (2021). She also won as one of the Top 10 Finalists while bagging the Special Award (Most Innovative ACEO) in the 1st ACEO Art Awards (2023). She was also recognized as one of Art Show Philippines' Top 12 Best Selling Artists for 2023-2024. She also won the Bronze Award in the Busan International Art Festival in South Korea (2024).
Her artworks were exhibited internationally in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Italy, South Korea, and Spain. She held her first Solo Art Exhibition “Eternal Blossoms” at 1159 Creative Space Gallery (December 2024).

“Even with eyes closed, I believe anyone can dream awake of colors, wonder, and endless possibilities. My art presents the meaning of life not just through patterns and hues but also through textures, feelings, and intuition.”She closed her eyes and dreamt awake of colors,wonder, and endless possibilities.”
Fused Plastic is made of recycled plastic from used/discarded bubble wraps, sando bags, courier packaging, etc. It is usually fused onto canvas, boards, paper and even onto itself.
